spina, JimJim is now retired from the police department after 25 years of service.    He worked a variety of assignments that include the Gang Unit, narcotics and fugitive apprehension.  His last five years were spent supervising the School Resource Officer Program. Mr. Spina has been married to his beautiful wife, Nancy, for 15 years, and they have three children: Clayton, Calley, and Boston.  Additionally, he and his wife are NFP teachers for engaged and married couples for the past 14 years. Jim has a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from ASU, a Masters degree in counseling/human relations from NAU, and is working on another Masters degree in Theology through the University of Steubenville.

Mr. Spina has been a CALL presenter for the past three years and is someone who is passionate about his faith, a person who despite many struggles and challenges in life has continued to grow and develop in the faith through personal challenges, the mercy and forgiveness of God, and through the love of his wife and children. He wants to be seen as an evangelist whose goal is to change the hearts of young souls impacted in a negative way by today’s cultural influences. He certainly will get that chance every work day as he is now starting a new career, as sophomore theology teacher at St Mary’s High School!
